For weeks now I’ve been scanning the big online retailers to see which air purifiers are coming on sale this season.
Fortunately, it’s all good news. Take a look at some of the discounts you can get on highly rated air purifiers right now…

#1 Best Black Friday Air Purifier Deal: Germ Guardian 5 in 1
I was pretty surprised to see one of Germ Guardian’s latest models on sale for this holiday season: The 22-inch 5 in 1.
At a massive discount, this offer packs a whole lot of features into the price of a low-end air purifier.
It’s for rooms up to 153sq feet. That means it’s good for a living room, kitchen or bedroom, but it’s not a whole house purifier. To finish the whole house off, you’ll carry it around to let it run in the required rooms, but at 22 inches tall and only weighing 9.45lbs, you won’t find that very difficult.
As far as filters go, it has all of them. I mean, all the types of filter that any air purifier can have: A charcoal pre-filter, a true HEPA filter, and a UV-C light for airborne mold and germs.
The best thing about this model? It’s relatively quiet compared to previous Germ Guardian models.
Having reviewed plenty of them for this website I can say it’s hard to find better value for money in an air purifier than this.
If you have slightly bigger rooms but don’t want to spend a whole lot more than the first offer, take a look at the next model up from Germ Guardian.
This will cover 167sq feet rooms (filter the air 4 times per hour in a room of that size).
Everything else about this model is the same as our #1. It happens to be 6 inches taller and 2 pounds heavier.
It also has 2 additional speed settings (5 instead of 3), giving you a little extra flexibility and sound control, and it’s on for a bigger discount.
Definitely worth considering.
#3: Colzer Air Purifier for Large Rooms
Want something to clear an entire apartment or some really large rooms? How does 800sq feet of purification sound? That’s what you get with the relatively new Colzer air purifier:
It’s a relatively small jump up in price for a huge increase in coverage? My take on why they’re not charging more for this? They’re a new brand offering a discount while they try to establish their name.
While it’s a little bulkier at 14lbs, you’re still getting true HEPA, and you’re not sacrificing on noise levels. The company claims 28 decibels on its quiet mode. For context, human conversation is somewhere around 60db. Unless you’re particularly sensitive to sound, you won’t be upset by the noise this thing makes.
As well as having the highest coverage for this price point, there are a handful of nice bonus features as well (child lock, timer function etc).
#4: PARTU Air Purifier For Small Rooms
Going completely the opposite direction, if you want a small air purifier that can sit up on a countertop, here’s a nice little discount on a well rated machine:
Somehow, this air purifier still has a true HEPA filter, an activated carbon filter for odors, and a pre-filter for hairs and other coarse materials.
It’s only going to cover 107sq ft and it’s slightly noisier than our other options, at 38db, meaning you may not like having it on in a bedroom overnight…
But other than that, there’s nothing to dislike about this machine. It still has 3 speed settings. You can turn the light off if it annoys you (an option that even some expensive models don’t have) and working off only 12 watts of power, it’s not going to run up your electricity bills.
#5 Best Deal on a High-Tech Model: Zigma Smart Wifi Air Purifier
If you want an air purifier that’s “next level” (as the kids are saying?) but still has a discount, check out this one:
Here you get remote control by an app, which means you’re never getting up to fiddle with the settings on the machine itself. You can also voice control it with your smart home device.
You get reports about your air quality via the app too: Helpful so you can know you’re getting value for money from the machine.
And on top of the vanity features, you get exceptional purification: 420sq feet in 15 minutes. 25 decibels of sound make it the quietest machine on the list.
It can even forecast air quality based on trends from within your house… so if you cook on the wok every night and smoke fills the kitchen, it will start automatically turning up the fan around dinner so it’s ready. Insane!
#6 Best Built Machine: Whirlpool Whispure Air Purifier
If you want an air purifier that will last, but you don’t want to spend a fortune, I think the Whirlpool Whispure is your bet.
Still at the low end of the price spectrum, this machine comes with a 5-year warranty, and it’s CADR (clean air delivery) rates are higher (meaning it cleans faster) for all pollutant types than our #1 deal on the list.
It’s the most reputable brand on the list too. These guys don’t make many models but this one appears on plenty of “best air purifier” lists you see around the web.
How to Choose the Right Purifier from the List
Because there are so many technical specs to consider, people tend to overcomplicate their decision to get an air purifier. Sticking to the options on this list, most people end up loving their machines. Besides the random product faults you read about in isolated reviews, (Almost always rectified by the manufacturers under the warranty) you’ll only end up unhappy if you get it wrong on one of these two fronts.
#1 Room Size
The stated maximum room sizes on these machines is reasonably accurate, according to the balance of opinion from reviewers. I’ve stated the intended room sizes on each of the models listed above.
If your room is somewhere on the border size-wise (say 380 sq ft when the model says it covers 360sq ft) you won’t notice the difference in purification. Don’t worry about it.
#2 What You Most Want to Filter
The main categories are Pet Dander, Allergens, Mold, and Smells. Frustratingly, all the air purifiers claim they’re great at filtering all of those things.
While there are minor differences between models for certain things (for example, the deodorization capability of the Coway AP1512-HH above), for the most part, they’re all doing the same job: That is, using activated carbon filters to help with odors and HEPA filters to remove dust, bacteria, and allergens.
A Note on Filters
Understand going in that all of these purifiers will require replacement filters in the future. That’s just how they work. Companies like Levoit try to stand out by saying their replacement filters are cheaper than others, but in general, most brands replacement filters cost from $30 to $50, and only vary depending on the size of your machine.
A Note on These Deals
As the holiday season continues I’ll try to keep this post up to date with the latest deals. I’ll also adjust the list, bumping better deals to the top when I find them.
Want to do me a favor? Comment below about which model you bought so I can feel like this was worth the ridiculous amount of time I spent 🙂
All the best!
