Margaret Carmen is a chef instructor and freelance writer. She holds a BA in English and a degree in Culinary Arts. She has many years of experience in restaurants and bakeries as a cook and pastry chef. In 2003 she contributed to the dessert section of Bistro Cooking At Home by Gordon Hamersley. These days, when she isn’t in the classroom or writing food-related articles, she is likely in her home kitchen baking sourdough bread or preparing delicious, healthy, locally sourced meals for her family.
