There are a lot of "Prime Day" deals on food processors this year, but most of them are from new, unknown brands you can't necessarily trust.
What I tried to do with this list is find deals on food processors that we'd recommend you buy even if they weren't on sale. Proven machines with high ratings, from brands that have stood the test of time.
Below are the 5 best deals like this I could find.
#1 Best Deal: Cuisinart 8 Cup Food Processor
The Cuisinart has consistently been one of our top-rated food processors for the past 5 years. Today however, it's #1 on this list because of the enormous discount. Wow.
Cuisinart food processors look simple on the surface, but it's the little touches that make them so great. For example, this 8 cup model comes with
- 2 separate slicing/grating blades at different thicknesses: So you can adjust the size of your cuts depending on the preparation.
- The feed chute tamper with little holes in it: This is my favorite thing. The tamper that covers the feed chute while the machine is running has little holes in it so you can add liquid ingredients without taking that cover off the feed chute. To do this in my old food processor, I always had to just open the feed chute and risk the spray. Not with the Cuisinart.
How big is 8 cups capacity? Well, it's 64 ounces for a start. That's enough for a big pie crust or two. A large bowl of guacamole. A party-sized serving of salsa. Dough for about 7 10 inch pizza bases.
If you have a family bigger than 4 and you cook large quantities regularly you might find the 11 cup model more functional. That model is also on sale at a huge discount.
But for more families and most food processing tasks, the 8 cup strikes the right balance between capability and counter space.
We love the Cuisinart 8 cup food processor and at this price, we're sure you will too.
#2 Budget Pick: Hamilton Beach 10 Cup Food Processor
You might not see a "Prime Day Deal" tag on the Hamilton Beach 10 Cup food processor but let me assure you, this thing is a deal. Approximately 23,000 reviewers will tell you the same thing.
A 10 cup food processor for how much? From what brand? Yes, that's the everyday price, and Hamilton Beach is a well-known, well-trusted brand.
This is a classic model that keeps standing the test of time. I've included it on this list each year so far because nothing better value comes along.
I could give you a list of features it has, that more expensive models don't have:
- Slicing/Shredding as well as the standard S blade for grinding, chopping, and pureeing.
- A "scraper" attachment that sits on top of the blades to scrape down the sides of the container AS it's running. This means you don't have to do that extra scraping before emptying the bowl.
- Reversible blades for added versatility.
And so on.
The only reason it's so cheap is that it's a legacy model. The company has released many newer models since, and the price of this one has had to keep dropping.
If you want both a steal and a food processor you'll be happy with for years, the Hamilton Beach 10 Cup is for you.
#3 Best Mini Food Processor Deal: Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus
On most lists, including ours, the Cuisinart Mini-Prep is the best small food processor money can buy. It's great value at its regular price, but somehow this Prime day it's available for a huge discount... the biggest discount of any model on our list!
I'm fortunate to have both an 11 cup food processor and a mini food processor at home, and I'll tell you one thing for certain: The mini food processor gets used more. Much more. I'm constantly asking whether I really need to lift the big food processor out of the cupboard for this task. Ok, I'm lazy, but the facts remain: All nuts and spices are ground in the mini food processor. All salad dressings are done with it. All marinades are done with it.
Granted, the Cuisinart Mini-Prep has just one blade. There's no grating, or fine slicing, or julienne cuts to be done with this little thing. If you do a lot of Julienne-ing, best to look at a different model.
But for the everyday stuff, the Mini-Prep is just so great. For one, it's not THAT mini, at a 24oz bowl capacity. It's small enough that it can stay sitting on your countertop. And with one blade, and so few parts to assemble, you only need to throw things in, lock the lid, and press the button. From pulse to puree, it'll do what you need over and over again.
It even comes with a little spatula for scraping down the sides of the bowl, and getting your ingredients out easily.
#4 Best Food Processor Combo Deal: Ninja Mega Kitchen System
It might look like a blender in the photo, but this is a combo model. It has an 8-cup food processor bowl as well as a 72oz blender container that you can switch back and forth, powered by the same motor base.
And the discount available right now is pretty sweet.
The Ninja Mega Kitchen System is a really versatile appliance.
As far as food processing goes, it comes with two blades, an S blade for chopping, and a separate dough blade for a softer touch.
I like it because where most food processors have a single speed, this machine has the variable speed of a high-end blender, so as you turn the goal, you can food process as carefully as you need to (including pulse) to get just the right consistency for a range of ingredients.
At 8 cup capacity, the container holds 64oz. That's enough for 2lbs of dough, or a party-sized batch of guacamole.
When your food processing is done, you can swap the blender container back on for the morning smoothies, which you can both blend and transport in travel cups if you want to. This makes it a personal blender/food processor combo as well. Very rare.
Look if you want to: You can't find another combo machine with this many functions for this price. I think it's the best food processor deal this Prime Day and I think you will too.
This concludes my Prime Day food processor deal list. Like I said, there weren't an unlimited number of deals, but I think these 4 represent the best you can do in terms of savings on a quality machine this year.
Good luck on getting a bargain, and happy processing!
